Sunday "game only" option
2nd grade and older

We realize that not all soccer players want to practice 2 x a week.  Our mission wants more kids playing.  For those 2nd grade and older not wanting the full commitment of our Select program, we offer a game only option.

The Key City Soccer League is our “in house” 3 vs 3 league.  League play will take place on Sunday afternoons and there will separate league divisions for boys and girls and based on age divisions.  Coaches have extensive soccer experience and will teach the game at age appropriate level.  Our coaches also officiate and coach at the same time in order to teach the game.  The Key City Soccer League will follow a play/practice/play format (with a 15 minute practice in sandwiched in the middle of 2 halves) to work on skills that have been presented in the game.

Why 3 v 3?

  • Need less players to form teams and allows us to have more teams.
  • Always involved in the play = allows for more player development.
  • More touches on the ball
  • Increased number of game related decision-making opportunities
  • Constant transition from attacking to defensive situations
  • Increased 1 vs.1 encounters in both attacking and defending situations
  • Increased opportunities to utilize specific ball skills
  • Increased opportunity to be in a goal scoring position

Dates will be: Sundays – September 13, 20, 27.  October 4, 11 at the Dubuque Soccer Complex

DIVISIONS: Game only - 2nd grade and up
COST: $50

Key City Soccer League members get:

  • 5 games in our “in-house” Key City Soccer Association League this fall
  • Kids may change teams based on a weekly basis based on competitiveness, numbers and the goal of challenging everyone at the appropriate level.
  • Separate Boys and Girls divisions
