We will have practice on Tuesday and Thursday from 5:15-6:30 pm at a TBA field.  Practices start August 11 and run through Oct 11 (and possibly longer if guidelines allow).

We will start in Phase 2 (see below and work towards game potential “friendly game” play as allowed by our governing bodies).

In-house  3 v 3 league / pick up games will be Sunday afternoons starting September 13 – Oct 11 at the Dubuque Soccer Complex.

Depending on how things progress with Covid 19, we may have age appropriate, full size friendly games against other clubs in our league.

No uniform needed at this point.  If that changes due to being allowed some friendly games, we will let you know.

Key City Select August 11th - October 11th
DIVISIONS: U9 - U15, Boys & Girls
COST: $160

Here are the safety guidelines we will be following and will need everyone’s help with:

  • Spectators for “in-house games” will be limited and must social distance.
  • For practice, age groups/teams will not intermingle as each age group / team will have their own space and teams will not share equipment.
  • Coaches will have hand sanitizer that will be mandatory as kids show up and leave practice.
  • For practice, Parents / families will be required to stay in cars upon drop off and pick up.
  • All equipment will be sanitized between practices.
  • Bring own water bottles and no sharing of water bottles.
  • If known exposure to Covid-19 or show any symptoms it is essential that child does not attend practice for 14 days.
  • Coaches will be only people to touch cones, goals, etc…
  • No high fives, hugs, handshakes or deliberate contact.

Phase 1 – July – we are having skill practices with all drills requiring 6 ft social distancing and no contact practices.

Phase 2 – Fall season until otherwise noted.  governing body finds it appropriate, we will do move to Phase 2 which can include small sided games and physical contact as the sport allows during play, but down time (instruction, rest, etc…) will require social distancing.

Phase 3 – return to interclub competition allowed – TBA

Obviously, there are a lot of uncertainties and we don’t know how things look for the fall season or playing outside competition, so we will all need to be patient and flexible and we will be phasing in play with guidelines set forth by US Soccer.

US Youth Soccer age groups are based on birth year. For instance, a U14 is born in 2007, a U9 is born in 2012 or 2013.  Key City Select is available for birth years 2006-2013. Younger than 2013 can register for our PrK or K-1st leagues.  If any 2012 or 2013 wants to play Sunday games only – they can register for that option only or can do select.

There is a chance some players will be asked to play up or could even play on multiple teams if needed (ie “play up”).  Also, if an age group does not have enough players, we may ask two age groups to merge and play at the older age group.

Teams / Age groups will be defined accordingly for fall 2020:
U10 Boys – Born in 2011 or after U10 Girls Born in 2010 or after
U11 Boys – born in 2010 U16 Girls – born in 2005
U12 Boys – born in 2009
U13 Boys –born in 2008
U15 Boys – born in 2007, 2006 or 2005
